Shop & Office Wi-Fi

Shop and office Wi-Fi that covers the whole building.

Business networks for contractor shops and offices in Northeast Ohio: the office, the shop floor, the yard, and the bays where phones drop calls today.

I run networks for a living as an IT manager, and I rebuilt the network backbone at Trinity Christian Fellowship so their weekly livestream stopped dropping. Same approach for a shop: look at the building first, then quote.

Typical job: 1 to 3 days

Gear: Ubiquiti UniFi

What's Included

Site survey

I walk the building and find where the signal dies: metal siding, the back bay, the far corner of the yard. The plan is built around your building, not a spec sheet.

Ubiquiti UniFi access points and switches

Commercial gear that handles a crew's phones, tablets, cameras, and the office printer without falling over. Managed from one dashboard I can check remotely.

Cabling and mounting

Runs done cleanly, access points mounted where they belong, everything labeled so the next person can understand it.

Separate networks for crew and guests

Your tools, cameras, and office computers on one network, customers and visitors on another. Handoff included, and I'm still a call away after.

Common Questions

Will this fix dropped calls in the shop?

Usually the problem is coverage, not your internet plan. Metal buildings eat Wi-Fi signal. One or two well-placed access points typically fixes it.

Do I need new internet service?

Not usually. I test what you have first. If the connection itself is the bottleneck, I'll tell you plainly and help you compare options.

Can you add cameras at the same time?

Yes. Cameras run on the same network, so doing both in one visit saves a trip and usually saves money. See the security camera page for details.

Ready for Wi-Fi that reaches the back bay?

Tell me where the signal drops and I'll come look at the building. No sales pitch, just a straight story.
